Nelson Vautour is a native of Shippagan.  He was introduced to painting at the age of

16 by the artist Maurice Paimpec.  Upon returning to his hometown after

a stay in the city, he decided to pick up his brushes again.

 

A self-taught artist, he draws inspiration from the beauty of our region’s plains and forests

to create his works. The artist is particularly fond of the color blue, which he associates with a

sense of calm and stability.

For him, this color is closely linked to well-being and spirituality.
