Noah Poirier currently lives and works in Caraquet, N.B. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, GA) in 2019. His mixed-media and eclectic approach to painting allows him to create surprising hybrid works that blend illustration techniques with more traditional painting methods.
His paintings, much like his drawings, tell stories, rich with detail and colorful anecdotal elements. Each of Noah Poirier’s works is a world unto itself, a well-crafted world of which he is the master builder, reflecting his technical skill and immense creativity.
The artist actively pursues his art from his studio in Caraquet. He also offers art workshops in schools and participates in various artistic events in the region and beyond.
The artist Noah Poirier, from Caraquet, N.B., will interpret in his own pictorial style the work titled Bellopheron Slaying the Chimera, created in 1900 by the British artist Samuel Webley (1877–1956). The artwork serving as the inspiration (starting point) for this creative project is part of the collection of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton.
