PAULINE ALBERT

TRACADIE, NB.

A native of Tracadie, New Brunswick, Pauline Albert was born with hand and foot disabilities, but that didn't stop her from completing her education and working as a social worker for the New Brunswick government for nearly 31 years.

Since the 90s, she has devoted herself to oil painting. She has taken realistic-style painting courses with artists Louis-Paul Savoie and Rosa Godin Mongrain.

Retired in 2019, she now devotes more time to her passions, painting and travel.

Always on the lookout for new techniques, she is developing her skills in acrylic painting, exploring mixed media (collages, textures, stencils) and continues to paint in oils occasionally in her small home studio in Tracadie-Sheila.

Her works are produced in a style she describes as eclectic, because even with an initial idea, she never knows how her canvases will turn out.

Her creations feature harmonious juxtapositions of textures, collages, jewel insertions and more.

For this artist, art has no limits. She knows how to live life to the full with her disability, and for her, nothing is impossible. You can explore everything, even if you have to do it differently!

Since 2015, she has exhibited her work at various venues: Académie Sainte-Famille in Tracadie in 2015, Quai des artistes in Caraquet in 2019, FAVA in 2024, Ruée vers l'art in Tracadie in 2024, and Rendez-vous des artistes in Saint-Léonard in 2025.

FAVA
